THIS is how bread slicers should be, and I don't know why it's taken so long. Or anyway, I've never seen it until now.

I've tried every kind of bread slicer for my homemade bread and loaves from the bakery. I'm completely inept when it comes to making even slices, even with slotted knife guides and those bread knives with an extra strip to keep you from going off track. Guess what, I can go off track.

This horizontal system is compact, easy to clean, foolproof even for a fool like me, and is nothing to set up. Bring your own knife. Then tap that knife against the inside track when you're done and a magnet will hold it in place.

Essential equipment if you bake bread often.

This amazing slicing tool may seem a bit gadget-y. Only if you make bread, all the time -- it is a game changer. Slicing bread solo works, except for toast or sandwiches. That's when this gadget comes in super handy. It is intuitive to use. Your bread knife works fine. You can adjust the thickness without a tool. You can be left-handed and not be left out. Best of all, your bread is sliced smooth and even :)  It is a big gadget, but I made room for it in my bread making station. It will snug behind the machine if needed. Highly recommend!

Neat looking gadget that works well

Bread Slicer for Homemade Bread, 3 Slice Thickness Looks nice sitting out on the counter. It doesn’t take up much room. When I want bread for a sandwich I like my bread evenly sliced no matter the thickness. This is a great way to get nice even slices without missing the mark. The bread slicers with guides on both sides can still come uneven unless you’re very careful.
I am really enjoying the bread slicer although I don’t find the crumb catcher of very much use. This would also make a great gift.

Probably a bit unnecessary, but a nice addition to my kitchen

I don't recall my family complaining that one side of my homemade bread is thicker than the other when I slice it, so an item like this is clearly a solution to a first-world problem. But hey, it works. When it arrived I used it as a reason to bake up a fresh loaf of bread, and sure enough, the slices come out uniform. You do have to make sure you don't turn your bread knife down or you could cut into the board, but if you keep the motion straight and consistent, it works really well for several different thicknesses. Very satisfied.

We love this slicer.

This Bread Slicer is nice. I used this slicer to cut some bread a little thicker for garlic toast. It worked great. I love that I can choose the thickness of the bread.

The box comes with a slicer. The slicer is wooden, and it has notches on both sides. Each side has a screw that is loosed to move to the size wanted, then tighten the screws. There is also a slot for crumbs to be swept into until cutting is finished. Instructions are included.

I will be recommending this Bread Slicer to family and friends.

The Greatest Thing Since, Well, Since Sliced Bread!

I love this Bread Slicer! It makes slicing home baked bread evenly and consistently, a simple task! All of my home baked breads were able to be sliced as consistently as any store bought bread, and it to less time that just cutting freehand. If you bake your own bread, or if you frequently buy bagels, this is the easiest tool for slicing. It offers several thicknesses, and it is low tech, high efficiency! Great Item!
